Welcome to Egypt!
Arrived in Cairo. You will be welcomed by our local representative, then transferred to the hotel.
Exploration of the Pyramids of Giza
After breakfast, we set out to discover the Giza Plateau, one of the most famous historical sites on the planet. This rocky plateau overlooking the Nile Valley is home to the Giza Necropolis, a vast funerary complex used notably during the Fourth Dynasty. It contains the three main tombs which represent the largest pyramids of Égypte, one of the 7 wonders of the world. Khufu is the tallest and most voluminous of the three. It evokes the quintessence of Egyptian monumental architecture.
We will also visit the solar barque, an artifact that remains part of the Giza Necropolis.

Cairo
Breakfast at the hotel then we join the famous National Museum. The latter was founded in 1857 by Auguste Mariette Pasha, a French specialist in ancient Égypte studies. We will also take the opportunity to visit the royal mummies room.

Visit to the Theban Necropolis
After breakfast, we set off to discover the Valley of the Kings which impresses us with its three tombs and 62 burial sites. We also discover the Valley of the Queens which houses 2 tombs with 75 burial sites.
Subsequently, we head to the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut. This site is located at the top of a series of terraces. We take long ramps surrounded by gardens to access it. Among the fascinating decorations of the temple, we admire sculptures that tell the story of the divine birth of the pharaoh.

Discovery of the Karnak Religious Complex
Breakfast at the hotel, then we head to visit the Karnak Complex, a large ensemble of various structures: temple ruins, chapels, pylons and much more. This site was rebuilt and developed over more than 2,000 years by successive pharaohs.
We continue with a visit to the Temple of Amon Ra whose magnificence and scale defy imagination.

Subsequently, we head to the Temple of Luxor which is dedicated to the god Amon. This building, located in the heart of ancient Thebes, was built largely during the XVIIIth and XIXth dynasties. We will see a great pylon and a sanctuary representing the residence of Amon Opet. We can cross two large peristyle courts as well as a monumental colonnade connecting these courts.
Discovery of Edfu, then continuation to Aswan
After breakfast, we set off to discover Edfou. We visit, among other things, the Temple of Edfou dedicated to the Falcon-headed God Horus. At the entrance to the site, we will see two beautiful black granite statues illustrating this deity. This sanctuary is the best preserved in the country.
We then head to the Temple of Kom Ombo, a temple from the Ptolemaic period. This religious building is dedicated both to the hawk god Haroeris and to the crocodile god Sobek.
After visiting the temple, the journey continues towards Aswan.
Aswan and the Temple of Philae
We have breakfast at the hotel and then embark on a beautiful boat ride around Agilkia Island. After that, we stroll on this piece of land to visit the Temple of Philae, dedicated to Isis. It is the main construction of Philae. Moreover, this last place of worship of the goddess in Égypte impresses tourists with its magnificent columns, the cornice of its portico decorated with solar discs as well as its ceiling decorated with vultures with outstretched wings.
We continue the day with the discovery of the Aswan High Dam, one of the most important in the world with a water retention capacity of 169 million m³. Built between 1960 and 1970 by Soviet engineers, this hydroelectric dam provides electricity to the entire country.
We also visit the Unfinished Obelisk, located in a large granite quarry. Abandoned by workers following a crack in the rock, this gigantic obelisk shows us how monuments of this type are shaped in the granite massif.

Aswan
Free day in Aswan.
An optional car excursion is offered for discovering the Abu Simbel Temples. We can visit the great temple built by Ramesses II, followed by a detour to the small temple of Queen Nefertari, also built by her husband Ramesses II. This second sanctuary is dedicated to the goddess Hathor, goddess of love, music and beauty.

Passport
To enter Egypt, your passport must be valid for a minimum of six months beyond your entry date and must contain at least one blank page for immigration stamps and visa affixing.
The document must be in good condition (no damaged, torn, or altered pages).
Tourist Visa
Nationals of the European Economic Area, Switzerland, and Canada are required to obtain a visa to enter Egypt. Several options are available:
E-visa (electronic visa): You can apply online before departure through the official portal of the Egyptian authorities. This visa is generally granted for a tourist stay of up to 30 days and can be single-entry or multiple-entry depending on the option selected.
Visa on arrival: Available at most Egyptian international airports (Cairo, Hurghada, Sharm El-Sheikh, etc.), it permits a stay of up to 30 days. Its issuance is subject to payment of fees in foreign currency (generally in US dollars or euros).
The authorities may also require:
an outbound ticket (return or onward flight),
proof of sufficient financial resources for the duration of your stay,
a hotel booking confirmation for the duration of your trip.
Health and Vaccinations
No vaccination is mandatory to enter Egypt from the EEA, Switzerland, or Canada under normal conditions. However, certain vaccinations are recommended:
routine vaccinations up to date (diphtheria, tetanus, poliomyelitis, measles),
hepatitis A and hepatitis B,
typhoid, particularly if traveling outside the main tourist areas.
It is advisable to consult a doctor or international vaccination center at least four to six weeks before departure.
Traveling with Children
Minors must hold their own valid passport covering the duration of the stay as well as a valid visa.
In some European countries, when a minor travels without one of their parents, an exit authorization may be required according to the regulations of the country of residence.
Other Nationalities
Entry conditions may vary depending on nationality. Travelers concerned should inquire with the Embassy or Consulate of Egypt in their country of residence.
