Our story
Cheops Travel was born from a family's deep connection to Égypte and a simple belief: this country is not simply visited—it must be prepared for, listened to, and shared. For more than forty years, the same family has guided travelers along the Nile with the same commitment to attentiveness and precision.
The agency was founded in 1981 by Salah and Walaa, who established two offices from the outset: one in Cairo, facing the Egyptian Museum of Antiquities, and the other in Luxor, within the grounds of the Old Winter Palace, just steps away from the Valley of the Kings sites. Cheops Travel operates under license No. 334, category A, issued by the Egyptian Ministry of Tourism. In 2006, two new family members joined the team and brought fresh momentum to the company.
Today, Cherif coordinates the agency locally, alongside Sarah and a team of English-speaking experienced guides, among whom Tamer, regularly praised for his availability and insight. Together, they build each itinerary over time — by email, by phone, at your pace — whether it's a cruise on the Nile, a grand tour of the Libyan desert oases, a Red Sea diving stay or a more personal approach to contemporary Égypte.

Yes, 7 days a week throughout your stay. You'll receive a local WhatsApp number + a dedicated emergency contact. Our on-site team can assist within hours in case of unexpected events (cancelled flight, illness, weather changes).
Your payments are 100% protected by the Professional Solidarity Association for Tourism. If a service provider (hotel, transport, etc.) or the agency fails, your funds are refunded. This is a mandatory guarantee for any French travel agency — Nomadays benefits from it across its entire network.
Yes, as much as possible. Changes made more than 30 days before departure are generally free of charge (excluding hotel rate differences). As your departure approaches, some bookings become less flexible — we always inform you of your options before confirmation.
Payment is made in full in France, in euros, with Nomadays — secured by credit card or bank transfer. You have no payments to make en Égypte: everything is pre-arranged (accommodations, transfers, guides, activities). You just need to budget for meals outside the itinerary and personal purchases.
