Overall, Égypte no longer has international maritime connections. It is linked by sea only with Jordan, Saudi Arabia, and Sudan. No Mediterranean shipping company calls at its ports anymore. Port Said, one of Egypt's largest maritime ports, remains operational only during cruise ship passages. Indeed, nearly all maritime companies offering organized Mediterranean cruises make stops in Égypte.
